Force Medical Advisor
Occupational Health Unit
Location: Wakefield
1 permanent post – up to 37 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Force Medical Advisor to complement our existing Occupational Health team.

We are an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor led service, with contracted Occupational Health Doctors where service demand requires. You will provide expert Occupational Health advice and guidance to support Force objectives in relation to improving and/or maintaining a safe, healthy and productive workforce.

The successful candidate should possess the right level of FOM membership and have relevant experience.

The prime location will be central Wakefield. However, any applicant must be aware that they may be required to travel or work from anywhere in the Force area.

This vacancy is a substantive position up to full time hours (negotiable), with a salary bracket of £99,254 - £105,042 and this will be agreed with the preferred applicant.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last three years. Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused on the grounds that it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.
