Crime Scene Investigators are locally based within the communities they serve. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the West Yorkshire area where we are looking to recruit a Forensic Vehicle Examiner (FVE) to be based in Bradford. We are looking for candidates that not only will become experienced FVE’s but have the potential of progressing to a Crime Scene Investigator/Senior Crime Scene Investigator role.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are wishing to develop a career within the Crime Scene Investigation profession. The successful candidates will have all the necessary training provided, which will involve mentoring with qualified FVE’s/CSI’s, followed by a suite of formal training courses all of which will be provided. On successful completion of the initial training you will work independently attending vehicles primarily at recovery garages (predominantly linked to volume crime) recovering forensic evidence in support of criminal investigations.

Remuneration and work pattern

You will be expected to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00. You will be paid monthly and you will be entitled to a generous annual leave allowance which increases with service and you will be automatically enrolled into the local government pension scheme. The starting salary is £20,115 per annum, rising to a maximum £22,275 per annum.

Progression

As a large regional organisation opportunities regularly arise for promotion to CSI and Senior CSI roles. All necessary training needs will be delivered by a dedicated in house CSI training team.
