West Yorkshire Police as the lead Force for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit are looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant based in Wakefield.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established regional unit working alongside four police forces and partner agencies to tackle serious and organised criminality.

The role involves the provision of clerical and administrative support to the Regional Organised Crime Unit. The post holder will have responsibility for accurately recording, disseminating and extracting information from various sources to support national, regional and partnership frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have good working knowledge of, and ability to operate computerised databases. They will also have the ability to input and extract information accurately from computer systems and will have excellent communication skills.

The successful candidates will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last three years. Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused on the grounds that it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.
