An excellent opportunity has arisen to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terror Policing.

In this role you will ensure that CTP-NE has an efficient and effective Internet Intelligence and Investigations function that complies with relevant legislation, policy and best practice.
You will lead the team of Internet Intelligence Investigators and ensure that all appropriate resources are suitably focussed and utilised to enable the most effective service to the unit.

You will have proven technical online knowledge, experience and training, as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to interrogate computerised databases.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written; a knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act, Computer Misuse Act, European Convention on Human Rights Articles (ECHR), Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (CPIA), Investigatory Powers Act (IPA) and Directed Surveillance Authorities and physical and emotional resilience to deal with abusive and offensive images are also useful.

You must be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the CTP requirements and be willing and able to travel for business purposes and potentially to work for extended periods across or outside the NE region.

Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to Enhanced level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. You must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British passport to work in the CTP NE.
