West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit an Intelligence Analyst to join the District Intelligence Unit. The location will initially be Kirklees, with a possibility of moving to another district within the Force.

In this role you will provide an efficient analytical service to meet the needs of the District, identifying and using the most appropriate analytical products and techniques, enabling management to make informed operational decisions.

Eligible candidates will be educated to Degree level or will have directly relevant experience.

Furthermore, you will need excellent communication skills both oral and written, as well as experience of analysing complex data accurately and a good working knowledge of computerised databases.

This role would suit someone with a thorough understanding of the interpretation and graphical representation of data.

In addition, you must be prepared to work flexibly to suit business needs, travel for business purposes, and work anywhere in the Force area if required.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

As this is a career progression scheme candidates who possess the requisite experience and knowledge of the Entry Level Scale 5 (£22,221 - £24,273) or the Advanced Level Scale 6 (£25,062 - £26802) may be considered eligible to start further along the progression scheme.
