We are looking to recruit Customer Contact Centre Agents to join the Communications department based at Dudley Hill, Bradford. We need you to provide a professional call handling service in relation to crime and incident recording to members of the public and the Force.

You will answer calls for service including 999 calls, carry out telephone assessments and accurately record and communicate information to provide the caller with either an appropriate Police response or a referral to an appropriate partner agency. You will operate and interrogate a range of technology in order to initiate a response to police officers and staff, this information is required to respond to and deal with incidents in line with Force policy.

To be successful in this demanding role you will already have experience of databases and their use with the ability to successfully complete various IT courses required for this role. You must have a minimum typing speed of 28 wpm with good verbal and written communication skills.

We are looking for candidates who are able to work a full rotating shift pattern (covering 24 hours, 365 days) as required and to also be flexible to suit the requirements of the department.

Candidates with previous experience of working in a call centre environment would be desirable

If successful at shortlisting, you will be invited to attend assessment centre. This will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Successful candidates MUST complete the initial 12 week FULL TIME training which is essential for this role.

We are looking to hold a succession list for anyone who has successfully passed the interview and subsequent reference and vetting process.
