Applications are invited from Constables who have completed their probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terror Policing.

As a member of the counter terrorism police network, you will be responsible for the active management of identified nominals within the NE Region in partnership with UKIC, CTP-NE and local special branches. You will ensure inter-departmental liaison and the management of tasking ensuring the efficient use of resources to provide an effective regional service and where applicable nationally, in order to mitigate risks to national security risk and enrich intelligence.

You will need to have experience in crime/intelligence management, as well as a thorough understanding of the National Intelligence Model.

It would also be useful if you have knowledge of existing Force’s/Regional procedures and standards required when planning and instigating operations and previous experience of covert policing methods. An understanding of offender management techniques would also be preferable.

You should be willing to work flexible working hours, and be willing and able to travel for business purposes throughout the UK.

As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply. In the interests of security you should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family.

Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to Enhanced and Developed level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. You must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British passport to work in the CTP NE.
