Counter Terrorism Policing – North East (CTP NE)
Based at Snig Hill, Sheffield
An excellent opportunity has arisen to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terror Policing.
In this role you will liaise with local, regional and national partners in order to gather, disseminate and enhance intelligence collection and development thereby minimising the known threat, identifying the emerging threat and managing the residual threat.
You will be required to have a detailed understanding of the recording, grading and handling of Intelligence, as well as a good working knowledge of and ability to operate computerised databases.
It is also essential that you have experience of working on complex investigations and are able to demonstrate the ability to review information and prioritise response according to threat and risk.
You must be willing and able to successfully complete any appropriate course e.g. NSIM, PND, RIPA and gatekeepers.
You must be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the CTP requirements, and be prepared to attend meetings and assist operationally throughout the UK.
Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to Enhanced and Developed level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
You must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British passport to work in the CTP NE.
