Applications are invited from Constables who have completed their probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terror Policing. We are looking for self-motivated, independent working, determined individuals who will seek to ensure that no stone is unturned to protect national security.

As a member of the operational intelligence management unit you will liaise with local, regional and national partners in order to gather, disseminate and enhance intelligence collection and development thereby minimising the known threat, identifying the emerging threat and managing the residual threat. You will work closely with a number of teams both locally and nationally.

You will need to have a proven experience dealing with intelligence, as well as previous experience dealing with in depth investigations.

It would also be useful if you have a good working knowledge of National Security issues through experience or research. If you are successful, you will be supported in your development throughout your career in Counter Terrorism Policing.

You should be prepared to attend meetings and deploy operationally throughout the UK, as well as work flexible working hours.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police officers and a secondment or transfer to the Regional Forces. As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.

In the interests of security you should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family.

If this is you and you would like more information please contact DS Neil Crabtree Who will be able to provide further information.

Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to Enhanced and Developed level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. You must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British passport to work in the CTP NE.
