Counter Terrorism Policing – North East (CTPNE)
Based at Chester-le-Street, Durham
One full time permanent post

An excellent opportunity has arisen to play a vital role in a unique team, supporting the work of CTPNE’s northern hub which covers the three police force areas of:

• Cleveland
• Durham
• Northumbria

In this role you will be part of the CTPNE’s Analysis and Research team carrying out a variety of tasks to contribute to National Security. You will conduct research using bespoke IT systems and tools in support of CTP objectives, providing timely and accurate reports to a range of customers and decision makers.

You will need to have experience of research and/or previous experience within an intelligence environment, as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to interrogate computerised databases.

You will also need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written including report writing skills.

Successful candidates must be willing and able to attain Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) certification once in post and able to work in a high pressure environment and to tight deadlines.

You must be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the CTP requirements and willing to potentially work elsewhere in the UK when required as part of a Regional and National response.
