This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police Officers and a transfer or secondment for Regional Forces. You will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique Team, supporting the work of Counter Terror Policing.

As the Deputy Head of Intelligence, you will be responsible for the management of the CTP NE Intelligence Unit, ensuring resources provide an effective and efficient service to support the counter terrorism effort within the North East region and, where applicable, nationally. You will effectively manage the receipt, assessment, development and dissemination of intelligence, support the delivery of the CTP strategic national and regional priorities and ensure quality of product and outcomes provided for the region through the deployment of effective and appropriate systems and procedures ensuring effective liaison with all interested partners.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate experience in crime and intelligence management and a thorough understanding of the National Intelligence Model. You will also need to demonstrate leadership abilities, to direct and control others during specialist operations with the ability to assess the implication of action beyond the boundaries of Forces and the region.

It is also expected that you are able to undertake vetting checks at DV level, hold a full and current UK/European driving licence, access to own vehicle and prepared to use it for business purposes. You will be required to travel and work across the NE Region and outside the region when necessary.
