Applications are invited from substantive Constables who have completed their probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police Officers and a regional transfer or secondment opportunity for Officers from the Regional Forces. Applicants from the Regional Forces will require permission from their current Force in order to be eligible to apply for this opportunity, as per their Home Force policy. A succession plan will be established for this vacancy.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role supporting Counter Terrorism work in District based Teams across West Yorkshire.

In this role, you will deliver Prevent activity, ensuring effective action in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector colleagues, against CTLP tasking and identified threat, risk and harm.

The ideal candidates should have the ability to engage successfully with a wide range of people and ideally have safeguarding and/or offender management experience.

The Officers should have a working knowledge of the current CT strategy, Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015, Channel Programme and Prevent strategy and have experience of working with/problem solving with, external agencies, and have a good knowledge and ability to operate Police IT systems.

In addition, you must be willing to work flexible hours and call-outs as required and willing to work wherever required within the UK, as part of a Regional or National response.
