Expressions of Interest applications are invited from substantive Constables who have completed their 2-year probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

Due to an expansion of the Safer Schools Programme, we are looking to recruit an officer to join our team in Leeds and implement a succession plan.

The role sits within Partnerships, but works alongside our Neighbourhood teams partners.

You will be proactive and have a working knowledge of relevant legislation and Force Policies , will have completed your OST and have your own vehicle with business insurance.

You will be responsible for managing your own workload, diary and demands, with most crime allocations being dealt with via out of court disposals and restorative practices.

This is a challenging but rewarding and varied role, working in partnership with schools and linking in with other police departments to improve outcomes for young people. You will tackle ASB and low-level criminality to reduce threat, risk and harm and safeguard vulnerable young people from CCE and CSE.

You will be a key member of the Pastoral and Safeguarding team within the school, which enables safeguarding enquiries and address emerging issues and threats to the wellbeing of young people and their families.

Hours are Monday – Friday 0800 to 1600 with some flexibility and an expectation that annual leave is taken within school holidays.

There is scope within the role for your own development and to deliver your own projects and to support young people further by participating in out of school activities.
