Applications are invited from Substantive Constables who have completed their 2-year probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police Officers and a transfer or secondment if from the Regional Forces. Applicants from Regional Forces will require permission from their current Force in order to be eligible to apply, as per their Home Force policy.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing. As a member of the Operational Intelligence Management Unit you will liaise with local, regional and national partners in order to gather, disseminate and enhance intelligence collection and development thereby minimising the known threat. Part of the role also involves identifying the emerging threat and managing residual threat.

You will need experience dealing with intelligence, as well as previous experience dealing with in depth investigations. You should be prepared to attend meetings and deploy operationally throughout the UK, as well as work flexible working hours. It would also be useful if you have a good working knowledge of CT procedures and/or National Security issues.

Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to Enhanced and Developed level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

Where possible, officers who are PIP accredited will be provided with opportunities to allow this to be retained.
