Applications are invited from Constables who have completed their 2 year probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police Officers and a regional transfer or secondment opportunity for Officers from the Regional Forces. Applicants from the Regional Forces will require permission from their current Force in order to be eligible to apply for this opportunity, as per their Home Force policy.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing. In this role, you will develop and research potential undercover, tasked witness and covert internet investigator operations, based on the priorities of the CTP NE, to ensure that all covert operations are carried out in compliance with legal and national guidelines.

You will have experience in investigating serious crime as well as a detailed knowledge of relevant legislation including RIPA and ECHIR.

You should have a willingness and ability to travel and work throughout the NE Region and the UK and be prepared to work flexible hours including participating in an on call rota.
