Expression of Interest applications are invited from Substantive Sergeants from Bradford District only who have completed a minimum 12 months. Those promoted under the NPPF will be required to have been confirmed in rank.

Early Action has teams of PC’s and PCSO’s in each of our 5 localities (South, East, West, Shipley and Keighley) working closely with Partners locally or virtually being co-located. Officers and Staff will support colleagues internally and partners in delivering high-quality early intervention and prevention service across Bradford District with the aim of making families more self-resilient and addressing quality of life issues for the communities we serve and reducing demand upon services.

The Sergeant role will be pivotal in developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, developing virtual and actual co-location opportunities. This will be both a challenging and rewarding role. You will have responsibility for leading, motivating and managing dedicated Early Action teams to ensure the needs of families/Individuals are identified early and the relevant holistic support is being provided in order to achieve positive outcomes.

You will work closely with partners to develop this multiagency response and attend multi-agency meetings with partner agencies both internally and externally as appropriate to help improve processes and outcomes for individuals we work with.
You will be responsible for the line management for teams of PC’s and PCSO’s. You will initially work a Monday to Friday shift pattern, with an expectation of flexibility both in terms of hours and working locations.

All applicants must have a valid PDR that meets the minimum required standard and the Attendance Standard at closing date of this advert. Please note: If this role is a higher grade than your current role you MUST have an overall PDR rating of Successful Performer or above. Those with a PDR rating of Needs Improvement can apply for roles of the same or lower grade, those rated as Unacceptable are not eligible to apply for any roles.
