Applications are invited from substantive Police Constables who have successfully completed their 2 year probationary period at the closing date of this advert, for a role based in the Sunderland area, covering the three Force hub of the seven Force Region:

• Cleveland
• Durham
• Northumbria

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police Officers and a regional transfer or secondment opportunity for Officers from the Regional Forces. Applicants from Regional Forces will require permission from their current Force in order to be eligible to apply for this opportunity, as per their Home Force policy.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

As a member of the Fixed Intelligence Management Unit you will receive, assess, evaluate and develop intelligence, ensuring compliance with local and national policy. You will be responsible for controlling information and intelligence dissemination within the National Common Intelligence Application to both internal and external partners.

You will need to have relevant experience in an intelligence environment, with intelligence/investigative experience relevant to collecting, analysing and disseminating intelligence and previous experience of acquiring and analysing data. You should also have the ability to achieve Intelligence Professionalisation Program (IPP) accreditation and have the ability to attend and successfully pass CTP courses.

You should be willing to work flexible working hours and on call to provide 24/7 cover to the Region plus be willing and able to travel and work elsewhere for business purposes and prepared to attend meetings and conferences throughout the UK.
