What does FCMU do?

FCMU is on the frontline of dealing with force wide demand and calls for service. Our aim is to make sure that only those crimes that require further investigation reach district officers. We speak to victims over the phone, record crimes and then allocate or file based upon the information we’ve taken. We also record a significant number of the force’s intel submissions and often spend time getting to the bottom of complex logs from other forces/agencies.

Officers who are confident in identifying and recording crime.
Officers with a good eye for investigation, identifying lines of enquiry and documenting them.
