Wakefield District Child Safeguarding welcome Expressions of Interest from Constable’s for vacancies at Wakefield District HQ, Havertop Lane, Normanton, WF6 1FD.

The successful post holder has to be out of their probationary period, have passed the Trainee Investigator examination ,or already be a Trainee Investigator (TI) or an accredited Detective Constable (DC)

You will need to be able to work closely and effectively with children, statutory and voluntary agencies. You must also be able to deal with emotive crimes against children and maintain the strictest of confidentiality whilst performing your duties.

You will be flexible in your approach to your work and have the ability and resilience to deal with the effects of crimes against children. You will be involved in the investigation of serious and complex cases, training and accreditation will be given to perform the role to the required standard.
