This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police Officers and a regional transfer or secondment opportunity for Officers from the Regional Forces. Applicants from Regional Forces will require permission from their current Force in order to be eligible to apply for this regional transfer or secondment opportunity in line with their Home Force policy.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terror Policing.

In this role, you will organise, supervise and command surveillance operations and covert technical deployments. You will also develop individual officers and the team in all methods of covert policing. This will involve supporting Counter Terrorism operations in line with the Departmental Business Plan and NPCC (TAM) Guidelines.

You will be a holder of current National Surveillance course accreditation or have an ability to successfully complete a National Surveillance course. You will also need to be a current advanced car driver or previous advanced driver who has an ability to successfully regain the qualification after additional training.

You should be willing to undertake long and anti-social working hours often with changes being made at short notice. You should also have a willingness and ability to travel and work throughout the NE Region and UK for potentially extended periods. You also need to have no noticeable striking physical features.
