Job Share @ 16 hours per week Based at Elland Road, (suitable for office and remote working)

An opportunity has arisen within the People Directorate, Employee Relations Team for an Employee Relations Specialist to act as the subject expert in relation to all matters relating to reward and recognition.

This will include ensuring the effective management of the Hay evaluation process, facilitating the discussions of panel members at Hay panels, accurately recording outcomes, ensuring that results are communicated in a timely manner and where appropriate providing written rationales. An element of this role will be to review and enhance the current process identifying and improving inefficiencies and highlighting any areas of potential risk.

In addition, the post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination, preparation of relevant documents and attendance at the market factor panels acting as the specialist adviser to panel members on any matters relating to the Hay evaluation process.

The post holder will also be required to design, develop, and review a number of ER policies undertaking relevant consultation with partners ensuring that policies are efficient, meet legislative requirements and support the principles of effective people management. This will include where appropriate the writing of comprehensive Chief Officer papers.

The post holder will also contribute to the formulation of a reward and recognition strategy ensuring alignment to the wider people strategy.

The successful candidate will be a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development MCIPD and/or qualified to CIPD level 7 with in depth experience and knowledge of HR and legislation relating to reward and recognition. They will also have previous experience of policy writing, be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, evidence previous experience of coaching line managers and have the ability and willingness to complete the Hay Evaluation course.
