West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit a Protection Order Support Assistant to join the Safeguarding Central Governance Unit based in an agile capacity.

Working as part of a small team and in conjunction with districts, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and comprehensive clerical service, including liaising with victims, statutory and voluntary agencies. You will also provide and maintain up to date information on various computer systems, including collating and compiling information as required on measuring the performance of the protection order process.

Eligible candidates will come with excellent communication skills, including a good command of written and spoken English. You will need to be organised and be able to work to tight deadlines, ensuring that you prioritise your own workload. Experience of working in an office environment is desirable.

In addition, you must be prepared to work flexibly and work from different locations to suit the needs of the unit.

The successful candidates will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused on the grounds that it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.

All applicants must have a valid PDR that meets the minimum required standard and must meet the Attendance Standard at closing date of this advert. Please note: If this role is a higher grade than your current role you MUST have an overall PDR rating of Successful Performer or above. Those with a PDR rating of Needs Improvement can apply for roles of the same or lower grade, those rated as Unacceptable are not eligible to apply for any roles.
