We are looking to recruit a Covert Authorities Coordinator to deliver an effective and strategic CHIS/covert authorities administration.

In this challenging role you will provide advice and assistance in relation to Covert Human Intelligence Sources, surveillance operations and other covert matters. We need you to administer the Source and Covert Authorities Management System in accordance with legislation, policy and guidelines under the authority of the Authorising Officer and assist with the administration of all Covert authorities within the Covert Authorities Bureau.

The ideal candidate will come with a sound knowledge of current legislation, practices and procedures relating to Source and Covert operations.

You will have previous experience of working in a secure environment, formal risk management techniques and a background of managing information or intelligence gathering techniques.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to analyse information thoroughly and critically, producing comprehensive and detailed reports on a wide range of complex issues.

In addition, you must be able to work on your own initiative, working effectively under pressure in stressful circumstances while maintaining an awareness of confidentiality and discretion.

You must be willing and able to travel for business purposes.
The role involves participation in a call out rota

The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment and maintain ongoing security clearance.
