TFO Training, Quality & Standards Manager

Expressions of Interest are invited from NPAS TFTOs. Applicants must have a ‘successful performer’ or above grading on their PDR and meet the WYP attendance standard.

The essential criteria for this role are:

Must hold or have held within the last 24 months a Tactical Flight Training Officer position on any
aircraft type operated by NPAS.

Hold a valid line check on an aircraft type operated by NPAS.

Hold an Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) or equivalent qualification.

Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of performance management leading to the delivery
of a culture of continuous improvement and increased efficiency.

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written to prepare and deliver specialist reports and
training to a range of stakeholders.

Ability and flexibility to travel throughout England and Wales.

Full UK Driving Licence.

The desirable criteria for this role are:

Have previous experience in the selection, recruitment, training and development of TFO’s within the
current NPAS training programme.

Previous experience of staff management.

Previous experience of workforce planning / planning ahead for staff and training courses.

The position will be subject to the following terms:

• It will be HQ and agile based.
• Reporting to the Head of Training.
• The successful individual will be fully abstracted as a TFO from their normal duties at their home base.
• Subject to a suitability and competence assessment. These will be conducted between the 14th and 16th December 2022.
• The role will commence with a handover period running from Monday 19th December 2022.
• The role will be for a period of up to 12-months after which time the successful candidate will return to their home base and role at the time of appointment.
• Working a Monday-Friday normal office hours pattern.
• Will not attract relocation expenses or shift allowance(s) but travel and subsistence will be paid in line with normal working practice.
