Safeguarding Clerical Officer
Child Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub

West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit a Safeguarding Clerical Officer to join Bradford Child MASH Team. The successful candidate will join a small, dedicated Police team working in a multi-agency environment.
After training you will be able to provide a broad ranging clerical service for the Safeguarding unit.
This will include amongst other duties liaising with partner agencies, completing reports, recording niche occurrences (including crimes), maintaining and inputting information on various computer systems and preparing reports for initial Child Protection Case Conferences.

What you'll need
• Basic Knowledge and ability to use a range of computer packages such as Microsoft Office
• Ability to undertake and pass relevant training on Force computerised databases
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and work on your own initiative on a regular basis
• Ability to prioritise your own workload on a daily basis
• Prepared to work flexible hours to suit the Safeguarding Unit's requirements
• Ability to deal with the effects of crime, including dealing with distressed victims and the emotional impact of extremely sensitive issues such as child and adult sexual abuse
• Willingness to work in any post appropriate to the grade at such other places within the Force as it may be reasonably required
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Force area
