West Yorkshire Police is looking to appoint an Imaging Officer to join the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS); based at Calder Park, Wakefield, this will form part of our operational team.

With the overall purpose of providing specialist support in relation to photographic, audio and video imaging, the appointed candidate will be highly motivated. Whilst aiding in the detection of crime, the role will contribute towards the delivery of a comprehensive imaging service to investigative officers and teams from across the region.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to progress their career within a field which continues to develop and offer exciting new areas of innovation and development. This includes specialist stills photography, video editing, 360-degree virtual reality and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).

The ideal candidate will have a creative mind and be capable of displaying a high level of problem-solving ability. You will be self-confident, capable of learning quickly, have excellent communication skills, and work well as part of a close team. You will be expected to attend at crime scenes as part of the role, which can be of a sensitive or traumatic nature, as well as work with the media.
