1 full-time permanent post available.

West Yorkshire Police, the lead Force for the YatH RSSS, is looking to recruit an Accreditation Assistant to be based at Calder Park in Wakefield.

This is an excellent opportunity to join this specialist team, where you will provide administrative support to the regional Accreditation and Standards Management Team. Covering multiple and varied forensic activities, you will ensure compliance with international standards and forensic science regulations - carrying out data integrity checks on the Quality Management System (QMS) and collating information for management meetings.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a high standard of attention to detail for checking electronic and hard copy information. A strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) is essential. An understanding of ISO/FSR standards/requirements/accreditation would be beneficial but is not essential as the role will provide opportunity for development in this area.

Applicants must also be prepared to work flexibly to suit the needs of the business and to travel throughout the Yorkshire and Humber area as required.

Please refer to the role profile to ensure that you meet all the essential elements before applying.

Supported by West Yorkshire Police, the YatH RSSS offers a range of employee benefits including the following:
• Flexi-time scheme – this allows employees the fluidity to flex their daily start and finish times within the parameters of a ‘bandwidth’ period and, subject to agreement, to take additional hours as ‘flexi leave’.
• Agile working - where agreed and where the requirements of the role allow, this includes the provision of an agile working kit to enable home-working and working at alternative locations as appropriate.
• A Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
• An Employee Assistance Service (EAS) – 24/7 access to helplines, online resources, and services to support the wellbeing of you and your family.
• The option to participate in a ‘cycle to work’ scheme.
• The option to participate in the emergency services discount scheme - known as ‘Blue Light’ - providing members with thousands of discounts both online and on the high street.

Closing date for applications: 23:55 hours on 17th April 2024.

The post is suitable for job share.
