Expressions of interest are invited from substantive Police Constables who have completed their probationary period by the closing date of this advert. Applications will also be welcomed by those Student Officers who have been signed off as competent as part of their probation (approximately week 75 onwards),

As part of their 10-year blueprint, Kirklees Council are investing heavily in regeneration of Huddersfield and Dewsbury town centres, which includes their vision to create thriving modern-day town centres.

The Multi Agency Town Centre Team includes police and council officers working together to identify, manage and resolve problems within the town centres. Officers within this team are encouraged to take proactive approaches to problem solving, and are responsible for managing their own workloads, diaries and demands.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating joint working operations with partners to ensure that members of the public feel safe when utilising the Town Centres. You will also be responsible for the monitoring, review and development of the Night Time Economy Operation within Kirklees.

A small example of the partners you will work closely with are DWP, Safer Kirklees, BID officers, Trading Standards and BTP.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and be able to work to a high standard using their own initiative. They will be required to work seamlessly with partners across the Local Authority.

Please note: If this role is a higher grade than your current role you MUST have an overall PDR rating of Successful Performer or above. Those with a PDR rating of Needs Improvement can apply for roles of the same or lower grade, those rated as Unacceptable are not eligible to apply for any roles.
