1 Succession position.

Applications are invited from substantive Police Constables who have completed their 2 year probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police officers and a secondment if from the Regional Forces for a position on a succession plan. As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.

You will join a team of dedicated Intelligence Officers, Analysts and Researchers supporting proactive and reactive, serious, organised and major crime operations across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

You will be working in partnership with Y&TH Forces and Law Enforcement agencies gathering, analysing, interpreting, developing and disseminating sensitive intelligence using all available resources. You will be responsible in producing intelligence products that meets the operational objectives whilst protecting all covert sources from which the intelligence was derived and you will be responsible for the preparation and submission of applications for covert technical support, including the acquisition of telecommunications data.

The successful candidate will come with excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to work independently and prioritise work in a high-pressured environment. This is a demanding, challenging yet rewarding role.

Successful officers will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment, so you must have a willingness to receive clearance from vetting procedures to STRAP level and SC Vetting. Once appointed you will be expected to work a shift pattern and undertake periods of on call. You must also have the ability and willingness, if the needs of the Region require, to work at any district / unit within the region.
