The Office of the Force Crime Registrar have a vacancy for a Crime Data Integrity Audit and Inspection Officer to be based at Force Headquarters in Wakefield.

This opportunity will be offered on a part time basis, to work 30.5 hours per week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and a fourth day which is negotiable.

In this role, you will work to deliver accurate and ethical crime recording and crime finalisation, by undertaking audits and providing corrective action where necessary. You will also carry out analysis of data and provide specialist advice and guidance in relation to all aspects of reported incidents and recorded crime.

These responsibilities include undertaking inspections on a regular basis, which will include the examination of all crime and incident types, listening to calls, reading logs, crime reports and associated documents, and rationalising evidence-based ethical decisions. These incidents often involve sexual and child abuse incidents therefore emotional resilience is essential.

We are looking for someone who will be able to demonstrate creativity, innovation and a desire to make a real difference in the role.

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, and the ability to effectively use Microsoft packages, as well as the ability to adopt and transfer their IT skills.

A willingness to attend and ability to pass ISO 9001 foundation course QSM Internal auditor course is essential.

Crime Data and Integrity Audit and Inspection Officers must also be prepared to work flexible hours to suit business needs and be willing to travel throughout the force area as required.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
