We are looking to recruit two full time and one job-share DBS Disclosure Officers to join the DBS Unit, based at Force Headquarters, Wakefield. The job-share opportunity will be working 18.5 hours covering an alternate pattern of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and then Thursday, Friday.

The successful candidates will provide an effective and efficient higher level disclosure service to the Disclosure and Barring Service in compliance with the DBS Quality Assurance Framework.

It is essential that you possess previous experience in researching and interpreting information, and a good working knowledge and understanding of disclosure of information, the Human Rights Act and the Data Protection Act (GDPR).

The successful candidate must also have proven literacy skills and a good working knowledge of and ability to use computer packages such as Microsoft Office, and a willingness to successfully complete IT courses required for the role.

In addition, you must be prepared to work and travel throughout the Force area for business purposes, as required. You will also be required to adopt a flexible approach to working hours to meet service and client group needs.

All shortlisted candidates will be required to pass a Clerical Checking and Verbal Critical Reasoning assessment prior to interview.

If successful at interview, you will be subject to full personal and financial vetting checks, prior to confirmed appointment.

The full time posts are suitable for job-share. The application process will close on 26th November 2018 at 23:55 hours.
