West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit HOLMES Reader/Receivers to support the work of the Holmes Department based in Wakefield.

You will perform the role of Receiver and/or Document Reader within Major Incident Rooms (MIR) or the Casualty Bureau (CB).

You will provide supervision in all aspects of the MIR utilising the HOLMES and CB computer systems, providing HOLMES support to HMET in the administration of homicide and major enquiries.

The ideal candidate will come with proven supervisory experience or will show the ability to supervise staff through experience and/or previous training.

You will have already completed a full HOLMES course or will have the ability to complete a full HOLMES course.

You should have proven investigative and research skills and be proficient in the use of computer software packages such as Microsoft Office including spreadsheets.

In addition, you must be prepared to work flexibly to suit business needs which includes working a weekend rota.

You may also be required to travel throughout the Force area or out of Force on linked incidents.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
