West Yorkshire Police as the lead Force for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Crime Unit is looking to recruit an Intelligence Officer to be based in Leeds.

As part of this dynamic team you will support proactive and reactive operations dealing with all aspects of sensitive intelligence. You will use all available resources in order to produce intelligence products that meet operational objectives whilst protecting all covert sources.

The ideal candidate will already have experience of analysing data, working in an intelligence environment and/or experience of research, together with a working knowledge of computerised databases.

You will also need an awareness of the National Intelligence Model and the procedure relating to the gathering and dissemination of intelligence.

In addition, you must be able to maintain integrity and confidentiality at all times, operate a clean desk policy and strictly adhere to Force Confidential Unit Standard Operating Procedures.

You will also be required to successfully complete the Intelligence Officer enhanced course.

Intelligence Officers must be prepared to take part in an on call rota, work flexibly to suit business needs and work at any District or unit within the Region as required.

The successful candidate will be subject to advanced personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
