Health, Safety and First Aid Trainer
Learning and Development Department
Carr Gate, Wakefield

We are looking to recruit three Health, Safety and First Aid Trainers to join the Learning and Organisational Department based at Carr Gate, Wakefield.

In this exciting role, you will design, develop and deliver health, safety and first aid learning and development interventions in accordance with Health & Safety and First Aid Legislation, HMIC guidelines and the Policing Plan. We also need you to assist, as required, in other areas of training design and delivery within the Leadership and Professional Development department according to business needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates holding a NEBOSH Certificate, who also have or are studying towards a Level 3 Learning and Development qualification, and hold or able to gain a First Aid at Work Certificate.

You will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft based applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, together with the ability to work both independently and within a close team environment.

In addition, you must be prepared to work flexible hours, weekends and out of business hours as required to meet organisational needs and travel for business purposes within the West Yorkshire area, region and nationally. You must also have the willingness to assist other Departments within L&OD with their learning and development commitments when required.
