We are looking for a Senior Intelligence Analyst or experienced Intelligence Analysts to join the Regional Intelligence Unit on a 12 month secondment or temporary contract.

The Regional Intelligence Unit is part of the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit, a collaboration between the four forces in the Yorkshire & Humber. The Regional Intelligence Unit is responsible for the identifying cross border criminality and supporting investigations into serious and organised crime. The unit works closely with partner agencies, hosting a number of embedded officers.

A Senior Analyst is required to manage the analytical function of the Unit, ensuring that the most appropriate research and analytical products and datasets are utilised to support and enable operational decision making in a secure environment free from risk of compromise and to proactively work with SIO's/Covert Advisor to develop suitable intelligence strategies in order to achieve operational requirements.

As a Senior Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for line managing a number of Intelligence Analysts and Researchers. In addition to providing a gatekeeping and quality assurance function, you will be responsible for the wellbeing and development of your staff. At the requirement of the department, you will lead on projects and other works. You will be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with forces, ROCUs and partner agencies.

Eligible candidates will have 2 years proven experience in crime or intelligence analysis. They will be educated to a degree level or directly relevant experience in an analytical function and an in-depth working knowledge and ability to operate computerised databases.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of serious crime analysis and the ability to work in a high pressure environment and to tight deadlines.

You will be able to adapt to dynamic priorities and have an ability and Willingness to complete IPP accreditation for the role. You will have experience of report writing and communication /presentation skills.

You will be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the requirements of the department and have the willingness to undertake and successfully pass MV, SC, STRAP and potentially DV vetting.

You will have the ability and willingness to travel for business purposes and the ability and willingness, if the needs of the Force dictate, to work at any department / unit within the region organised crime unit.
