West Yorkshire Police are seeking to appoint three temporary Resourcing Assistants to join the Resourcing team based at Force Headquarters in Wakefield city centre.

In particular, we are seeking to recruit to two full time posts (working 37 hours per week) and one part-time post (working 18.5 hours per week), which will be on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2019.

Our full time opportunities are also suitable for job share and we operate on a flexi scheme.

About Us:

We are a friendly team of 15 police support staff, providing a high quality service for all departments across the Force, through the provision of an effective end to end process for the recruitment and deployment of Police Officers, Police Staff, Special Constables and Volunteers.

The Job:

As a Resourcing Assistant you will be the first point of contact for candidates; assisting with any application queries and administering and processing the resourcing steps as required (including the writing of adverts, preparing and issuing letters of appointments and contracts of employment, shortlisting, interviews, assessments, arranging of vetting and communication to Human Resources departments).

The Person:

To be a Resourcing Assistant, it is essential that you are competent in the use of a range of computer packages including Microsoft Office, and that you have a basic knowledge of HR/recruitment practices gained through experience of HR/customer service/administration work.

This is a varied and demanding role which also requires excellent organisational, administration and time management skills/experience.

Furthermore, you will play a key part in promoting West Yorkshire Police, therefore a personable, helpful and friendly manner is crucial to ensuring our customers receive the best experience possible.
