This opportunity will be offered on a secondment basis and will require permission from your current SLT in order to be eligible to apply.
This is an exciting opportunity to represent operational policing as part of an important force project relating to the key force priority of maximising the quality and value of WYP data assets. This is fundamental to facilitating the efficient and effective usage of new technologies such as AI, Machine learning, Robotics and analytics. The post holder will be instrumental in shaping future direction.
The post involves working with other forces, organisations and external suppliers on a local, regional and national basis.
The secondment opportunity involves working with a dedicated team within Information Management. The post is office-based at HQ, Admin 4, Wakefield.
The suitable candidate will have a willingness to be flexible and travel for business purposes.
The post would be suitable for an Inspector looking for HQ/project experience to add to their portfolio.
Skills required include:
• Excellent communication and negotiation/influencing at all levels inc most senior (District Commander/CoT/PCC)
• A thorough understanding of current operational policing
• A good understanding of key operational IT systems (Niche/Corvus/Storm/Pronto)
