West Yorkshire Police are looking for an enthusiastic highly motivated individual to join the newly structured People Services team in the People Directorate.

The Job:

As leader of the People Helpdesk you will be required to ensure that the Helpdesk meet a high level of efficiency and effectiveness.

You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of approximately 28 people (4 who are direct reports).

You will be the ambassador for the Helpdesk and promote the benefits to Senior Leadership teams and colleagues within the Force.

You will possess a high level of HR experience along with a 'can do' approach that ensures the Helpdesk and its work are constantly increasing and transforming.

You will ensure that the Force's requirements are being met by using a variety of performance measures.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 7 CIPD qualification or management qualification and have previous experience of setting and reviewing performance metrics.

In addition you will have a proven ability to innovate in order to resolve problems, create new and better ways of working and deliver ongoing improvements to service delivery at a high standard.

You will be leading teams based in Leeds and Bradford, therefore, you must have the ability to travel easily between both of these locations.
