IT431 Digital Development Assistant **External**

Wakefield
£25,566 - £27,339 per annum
THE FOLLOWING VACANCY HAS BEEN ADVERTISED EXTERNALLY

Digital Development Assistant
Corporate Communications
Wakefield

Are you ready for the challenge of working in a busy, dynamic environment with incredibly tight deadlines where quality and attention to detail counts as much as cleverly written content? Can you be flexible with your hours to make sure the job gets done every time?
If you love digital communications, in all its forms, as much as we do, then you could be the person we’re looking for.

As our digital development assistant, you will be working hard in a busy team to deliver effective and positive communications for West Yorkshire Police.
Although you will be involved with our public-facing platforms - including the Force website, our community alert system as well as social media - your main focus will be internal communications – keeping our staff and officers up to speed.

One minute you could be monitoring and responding to issues on Buzz, our cutting-edge discussion forum, the next publishing live pages and videos on our intranet front page, followed by a staff training session providing professional support to users. Your role will also involve collecting and presenting digital data in easy-to-understand visuals, as well as staying one step ahead of digital comms to be able to spotlight new online opportunities for West Yorkshire Police.

You will have a proven track record in digital communications and, if selected for interview, will be able to demonstrate examples of your online successes.

The role will involve some occasional evening/weekend work as well as flexibility around start/finish times to cover for important operational events etc.
We look forward to hearing from you!

This post is suitable for job share. The application process will close at 23:55 hours on the 27th May 2019.
