Customer Service Manager

As a member of the Finance and Commercial Services Senior Leadership Team working in partnership with other senior leaders you will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive and professional customer service provision including evidence management across the force in accordance with Force objectives, policy and legislative requirements. Deploying appropriate resources as required based on demand, threat and risk. Acting on behalf of the Director of Finance and Commercial Services in strategic delivery of force initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree level professional/management qualification, or equivalent relevant experience, together with extensive experience at a senior level of customer service delivery/business management and experience of delivering change at a senior level in a similar organisation.

Highly developed leadership and proven experience of negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to motivate, challenge and engage individuals and teams is essential as is the ability to develop effective working relationships with key partners and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to bring about positive change. You also need to have detailed knowledge of all policies and procedures and customer service requirements relating to evidence management, and knowledge and experience of developing and implementing policy and strategy.

Ideally you will also have previous experience of working in a public sector environment and working with Senior Leadership Teams, possess IOSH managing Safety qualification or equivalent and appropriate level of Risk Management Training.

You must also hold a current full UK / European driving licence, preferably with access to a car and are prepared to use it for business purposes, or have the ability to travel around the Force area, as well as a willingness to work in any post appropriate to the grade at such other place within the Force as may be reasonably required.
