This vacancy is available to West Yorkshire Police Support Staff.

Customer Services Officer

37 hours per week (this post is suitable for job share)

The role of the Customer Services Officer is to manage and direct the provision of a customer services function across multiple Districts/ Departments in liaison with and support of multiple Senior Leadership Teams in accordance with Force Policies and Health & safety legislation, in order to ensure that an efficient and effective customer service is maintained.

The successful candidate will possess a general management qualification or relevant experience and have proven experience of successfully managing a team.

They will be required to have basic knowledge of Health & Safety systems and procedures and a working knowledge of relevant legislation and audit requirements.

The candidate should possess good IT literacy skills and have the ability to utilise Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

Applicants should possess relevant project management experience.

Ideally the candidate will have detailed knowledge of Force procedures in relation to the handling, retention and disposal of cashable evidence.

You must also hold a current full UK/European driving licence, preferably with access to a car and are prepared to use it for Business purposes, or have the ability to travel around the Force area, as well as a willingness to work in any post appropriate to the grade at such other place within the Force as may be reasonably required.

Therefore where this applies applicants may be refused on the grounds that it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.

Interviews are scheduled for the 4th to 6th June at Wakefield DHQ, Normanton. You will be required to deliver a presentation followed by an interview.
