CT Prepare Officer
Counter Terrorism Policing – North East (CTP NE)
Leeds
1 x Permanent Full-Time Position

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

In this role, you will perform functions and maintain systems that support operational activity within CTP and deal with contingency planning, ensuring awareness of plans and processes if contingencies need to be activated across the CTP NE region.

You will also be expected to complete the 2 year Prepare pathway that awards you the opportunity to complete various courses to enhance you in this role. You will take part in testing and exercising/ debriefing. You will have the opportunity to work with partners and military around the Preparedness of CT business.

You will need to have basic computer literacy and keyboard skills and experience of using relevant IT systems, including MS Office, and have previous experience writing, exercising or debriefing contingency or emergency plans, or similar transferable skills.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with senior managers both verbally and in writing and be supported by the team and Supervisor.
A working knowledge of the Current UK Contest strategy and National Security issues is essential along with an understanding of JESIP Doctrine.

Occasionally, you need to be willing and able to travel across the region and nationally for business purposes, as well as have the ability to be able to be deployed beyond your regional force boundaries in support of other UK regions as requested by your supervisor/ CT network.

The role offers flexible working with some agile working, and you should be able to work both in the office and from home as required.
