Yorkshire & Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (under the lead Force of West Yorkshire Police) are looking to recruit an Intelligence Analyst to work within the Regional Sensitive Intelligence Unit based in Wakefield.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established regional unit working collaboratively with the NCA, four Regional Police Forces, other Regions and broader Law Enforcement Partners to lead the Yorkshire and Humber Region's fight against Serious and Organised criminality.

The preferred candidate will have operational experience of serious and organised crime, or a keen interest in this area. This is a dynamic and diverse arena and you will be working within a complex and rapidly evolving operational environment. Fundamentally, the role of the Sensitive Intelligence Unit is to gather, assess, develop and disseminate intelligence to inform operational decision making and mitigate risk in a challenging environment.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or possess relevant experience of analysing and presenting complex data. They must have excellent written and oral communication skills and have a good working knowledge of, and ability to operate, computerised databases. They must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.

This is a full time role and the successful candidate must be willing to work flexibly to support the requirements of the department. When fully trained, the successful candidate will be expected to join an on-call rota for out of office hours analytical cover.
