Police Constable Contact - Despatch Officer


Expressions of interest are now being invited from Substantive Constables who have completed their probationary period or completed all necessary assessments in their probation period to work as part of the despatch function within the Force Contact Management Unit.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work with the teams based at Dudley Hill Bradford and Admin 2 HQ Wakefield.

This opportunity comes at an exciting period of development for the Contact Management unit as we strive to consistently deliver a high level of performance critical to ensuring that we serve our communities to the best of our abilities.

Staff within the contact management unit are afforded regular opportunities for development both lateral and promotional and we encourage anyone wishing to develop in their careers to consider applying for the position.

As part of one of the key areas for policing you will be central to ensuring that we are using our resources efficiently, ultimately reducing demand on patrol teams whilst delivering a crucial role to supporting and servicing the needs of members of our communities.

All applicants must have a valid PDR that meets the minimum required standard and the Attendance Standard at closing date of this advert. Please note: If this role is a higher grade than your current role you MUST have an overall PDR rating of Successful Performer or above. Those with a PDR rating of Needs Improvement can apply for roles of the same or lower grade, those rated as Unacceptable are not eligible to apply for any roles.
