The Company:
West Yorkshire Police is looking to appoint five Witness Care Officers to offer specialist care and support to victims and witnesses and maintain accurate computer records. You will liaise with the Courts, the Crown Prosecution Service and Officers to ensure the efficient exchange of vital information enabling a timely case progression throughout court.

What You’ll need?
• Has Experience of Office systems and procedures
• Has Basic knowledge of and the ability to use computer packages
• Has Good Interpersonal skills and is customer focused
• Has a good command of English, both written and verbal
• Great problem solver and decision maker with the ability to interpret information from several sources.
• Has basic knowledge of the Criminal Justice System.

Your patience and understanding will be necessary to work in difficult situations such as dealing with witnesses who may be hostile or reluctant to co-operate. The ideal candidate will come with experience of office systems and procedures and a working knowledge of computer packages such as Microsoft Office.

You must be prepared to work flexibly to suit business needs, providing office cover between 8am and 6pm.
