This role will be a 3-year fixed term contract.

You will support the Business and Service Delivery Manager and the wider team in the development and delivery of the local, regional and national communication strategy. This will involve publicising and presenting Pol-Ed to police, education and wider partners through various communication methods.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can use a wide range of internal and external multi-media channels, such as, written, audio and visual material, including images, video, and digital communications.

You will be expected to confidently deal with the demands of the media work and propose strategies in dealing with communication issues. Ensuring that you deliver effective internal and external communications to raise the Pol-Ed profile and maintain awareness across the Force.

Ideal candidates need to be able to prioritise, make decisions and offer sound advice and support on appropriate use of digital communications and production of written publications. Being responsible to recognise and implement opportunities to enhance and protect the reputation of the Force and improve public confidence.

A fully flexible approach is essential. You will need the ability to juggle a large workload and be a clear concise communicator, with a professional ‘can do’ attitude and well-developed interpersonal skills.

You will manage media enquiries and where required, attend at meetings, both internally and with partner agencies and organisations, agreeing joined up communications.

To be considered for this role you will have the ability and willingness to travel for business purposes and work flexibly to support the work of Pol-Ed.
