West Yorkshire Police Change Delivery Team have a vacancy for a Project Support Officer. Based at Wakefield Headquarters this is a permanent, full-time role. The role offers the opportunity of a mix of office based time and agile working.

The role:

We are looking to recruit a Project Support Officer to join the Change Delivery Team in Corporate Services. Reporting to a Change Delivery Project Manager, you will help deliver significant strategic change and shape the future direction of West Yorkshire Police. You will support a range of strategic projects to drive efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organisation. It is a challenging, fast paced, but very rewarding role.

You will have experience of supporting projects and programmes of work and a good understanding of project management principles and what good governance looks like.

The successful candidate will be subject to Management Level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

The Team delivers a wide and varied portfolio from inception through the development of robust, evidenced-based business cases to implementation using a range of project management tools and techniques.

As part of the team, you will support projects at a national, regional, and local force level. Our projects cover all areas of the Force, including operational policing, support functions and the delivery of national and local initiatives requiring change to the way we do business. This role will involve some travel throughout West Yorkshire as and when required.

What will you need?

• Proven experience in the support of corporate business change projects.
• Be able to demonstrate pragmatic problem-solving capabilities and excellent stakeholder management skills.
• A qualifications in PRINCE2 or equivalent project management method would be advantageous.
