Intelligence Analysts (Career Progression)
Counter Terrorism Policing – North East (CTP NE)
Leeds
Full time (37 hours)

Are you interested in working for a world-class policing network and keeping the UK safe? CTP NE are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to help protect the public from an ever-evolving terrorist threat. Intelligence analysts play a vital role, using analytical techniques to make sense of complex information, identify trends, highlight gaps and make assessments.

The CTP NE Analysis and Research Team have team members located in various locations across the North East region. We currently have vacancies in our central tactical analysis and research team, based in Leeds.

The tactical analysis and research team supports live investigations into terrorist activity. As a tactical analyst you would be creating intelligence and evidential analytical products to assist decision-making and support the prosecution of offenders.

You will need to be educated to degree level or with the equivalent qualification or experience in an intelligence or research background. You will also need to have previous experience of analysing complex data accurately with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to interrogate computerised databases.

You will need excellent communication skills both oral and written and be able to work in a high-pressure environment and to tight deadlines. You will also need to be willing and able to attain Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) certification in line with the role.

You must be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the CTP requirements and willing to work within the UK wherever required as part of a Regional and National response.
