The main responsibility of the CAID Officer is to support the operational use of CAID by providing a comprehensive data update and extraction service for all users, co-ordinating support and compliance with the national system of grading abusive images, sharing best practice and compliance with legislation. Regular contact with Home Office partners to provide performance reports on a daily basis is also an important part of the role, as is working with technical partners on the introduction of new developments such as facial matching to improve CAID effectiveness.
