This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The project Delivery officer will work within the Strategy Department's Research and Delivery team. The team are currently based at Havertop Police Station, Normanton.

Responsibilities included the delivery of products required from grant funded applied research projects that ensure the Office of the Police and Commissioner for West Yorkshire commitments to grant funded projects are delivered to a professional standard and in accordance with project plan requirements.

Project delivery officers will lead by example and behave in line with the Police Code of Ethics ensuring that the force values and behavioural expectations are clearly understood and considered by managers, officers and staff in their decision making and actions; reinforcing and influencing them through all interactions and processes

You will be responsible for the day to day delivery of international and UK grant funded applied research project tasks, working as part of a project team and working with external consortia members to ensure the professional delivery of project commitments.

Project Delivery officers will provide practical guidance and advice to the Office of the Police and Commissioner for West Yorkshire Force and West Yorkshire Police, key stakeholders and consortia members on the delivery and progress of grant funded projects.

Project Delivery officers will support the management and co-ordination of physical and virtual project meetings and events with partners and key stakeholders in the monitoring, operation and dissemination of multiple project activities and achievements.

The role also includes Identifying and developing potential opportunities for future grant funded research proposals through active engagement and collaborative working with partners.

Project Delivery officers will also undertake environmental scanning of new research opportunities, disseminating learning and new knowledge of a wide range of policing issues.

The role requires you to represent the Force at a local, regional, national and international level relating to policing requirements of international and UK grant funded applied research.

Successful candidates will be expected to commit to and work towards the Chief Constable’s Policing strategy and Police and Crime Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan, leading by example and behaving in line with the Force Purpose and Values, and taking appropriate action to ensure that all of your team members do likewise.
